The College

Dr. K.R. Adhikary College of Optometry and Paramedical Technology is situated in WEBEL IT Park (Phase-II), Kalyani, Nadia in the heart of the city Kalyani. Apart from being the Modern City, Kalyani is now the natural choice and preferred destination for students from different parts of the state of West Bengal as well as country to pursue professional education, be it in Medical, Paramedical, Engineering, Law or any other field. The city is home to globally renowned corporate houses in the WEBEL IT Park. The distance to the college from the city railway station is 4 kms. The college has an excellent infrastructure and accessibility from various parts of the city. The college has a well-designed administrative block and various other rooms and facilities for the students such as girls common room and boys common room, waiting room, canteen etc.

It has provided well equipped furnished labs for basic sciences separately and other departmental laboratories and practical rooms. Each section of students has separate air-conditioned classrooms and facilities. All classrooms are well furnished and ventilated. Audio visual Room is provided with all teaching aids, Slide Projector, LCD Projector, Computer, Audio Systems, Microscopic Projector, etc., in order to ensure overall development of students. The students have all the facilities for games and sports. A canteen with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is also available in the college campus. The college building has made more provisions for the expansion. Other facility consists of Drawing Hall, Conference Hall etc. Transport facilities provide bus, auto, toto services for students to commute from different parts of the city.

Student Mess

Separate Student Mess facilities are provided for Boys and Girls in collaboration with different organizations near the college campus. It has adequate high security and good discipline. But it is not mandatory for students to stay in Student Mess.

Placement

Paramedical is one of the most common as well as highly reputed streams today. It comes as no surprise that there is still a huge demand for health care sector around West Bengal as well as different states of India and abroad also. From country most of general graduates are searching their jobs but fail due to right choice of education.

The placement cell of our college will always provide information about the available positions in different hospitals, nursing homes, corporate healthcare sectors, corporate outlets and upcoming opportunities. This allows the students to better plan their oncoming days for training and briefing purposes.
